Summer Ring

I had this metallic base ring, and I was trying to come up with an idea to make of it. A few days back, it was my best friend's 24th birthday, and when I told her I was going to make her something, she said:


"Make me something that will remind me of summer"


And this ring happened. It's handmade out polymer clay, on a square metallic ring base. I made the sand by cutting really small pieces of clay with a scalpel, then painted the base with light blue and white acrylic paint, made a tiny starfish, a tiny beach chair, and a tiny seashell. Filled the space i had painted with acrylics in front of the sand with Fimo Deco (liquid transluscent polymer clay) and baked.
